Fairies......Early one spring morning a mother robin
was bringing fresh delicate worms to her new babies when she spied something
unusual under her tree. The gentle winds brushed the blades of grass to reveal
a tiny baby fairy. It was lost and cold so she took it into her
nest and comforted it. The mother robin felt sorry for the cold, bare little
creature and began to weave a little dress using her softest down feathers.
The little fairy was so happy with her new attire she fluttered around and
fell out of the tree and into her own mothers waiting arms. The mother fairy
admired the little feather dress and thanked the robin for finding and caring
for her lost baby. Soon after this many of the fairies began to
imitate the unusual new style and this is why, even today, you can still
see fairies wearing feathered clothes. |
