Hiking on the Big Island

There are many easy to moderate scenic hiking and walking trails throughout the Hale O Ao Estate. Some people call these wandering trails or Buddha walks. You will discover an unusual volcanic mountain terrain in this peaceful setting as you meditate or exercise up mauka (in the mountains). The Kaamaina (locals) say; "Up mauka is the place to enjoy cool fresh air in peace and quiet."
