The Grecian
Goddess
Their beauty was never matched nor was their grace and charm. A Greek Goddess
could be kind and caring, giving gifts of kindness to mortals and other earthly
beings. But when a Goddess was angered, she could cause devastation and ruin.
And it was the mortal man who reaped the bounty of their charms and suffered
most from their vengeance.

This Goddess wears only the finest white satin, trimmed in golden lace.
She holds a water carafe handmade in Greece, which can contain
a drink of life giving nourishment in the purest form.

The Old Man Of The
Sea has been busy doing what he loves to do most; spend time
at the ocean. He throws his net to see what treasures he can bring up from
secret waters known only to him. There are those who think he is
Poseidon, the Greek God, but others know him to be just a kindly old man.
This day he has caught a fancy crab along with beautiful shells,
starfish and magical sea bubbles. The crab
will come to know him as a kind and generous being who
watches out for creatures from the sea. His embossed satin costume
is trimmed with a rich embroidery made in Greece.

Mother Nature....Tears of
joy fall softly to the ground in her life giving rain which nourishes the earth.
She brings happiness to the days of spring as she smiles in flowers and her
cheerful spirit graces the world once more. You can hear her singing as soft
summer breezes caress the sun dappled tree leaves and tall slender grasses.
In the meadows where the wildflowers grow, she rejoices and dances with the
sun. During the lingering days of autumn she sheds her cloak of rich ochre and
maroon in the drifting leaves which protect the land, before the cold days ahead
send their bitter chill upon the earth. As winter's frosty breath covers the
ground with a blanket of pure white frosting, Mother Nature sparkles like diamonds
in glistening ice crystals and delicate snowflakes.

Zeus...the
ruler of the Grecian Gods. According to Greek poets; in the earliest
days when time began, it was the Gods and Goddesses who dominated
the earth. Zeus was King, Hera his Queen and they ruled their kingdom
from a marble temple on Mount Olympus. Zeus was the God of thunder,
lightening and rain and his powerful staff was a thunderbolt, with which
he could command the heavens and earth to do his bidding. Only the foolhardy
spurned him, for his word was absolute and his power almighty.
